Abstract

Along the shoreline, this installation draws inspiration from the delicate breath of bubbles rising from seashells, a fleeting moment captured and transformed. Influenced by Jennifer Blommer’s ‘Minor Architectures’, the work uses the logic of minimal surfaces, generated through parametric design, and brought to life with 3D printing techniques. Composed entirely of PVA, a water-soluble support material, the structure is destined to dissolve, straddling the boundary between land and sea. Its inevitable dissolution invites reflection on artificial environments, edge spaces, landscapes, natural forces, and the shifting relationships between time, humans, and the ocean.
